La bohème | Ópera en corto
The Teatro Real has created ‘Ópera en Corto’, reduced versions, of around 45 minutes, of works from the lyrical repertoire explained by the composer Francesca Caccini (1587-1641), recreated virtually. From the hand of the first woman composer of an opera -also a singer, lutenist, poet and educator-, the Real offers an entertaining journey through the most popular operas.
The first instalment of ‘Ópera en Corto’ is La bohème, a production that triumphed at the Teatro Real in 2017, with musical direction by Paolo Carignani and stage direction by Richard Jones. Francesca Caccini, who has her own social networks - Instagram and TikTok - will go through five centuries of opera showing its keys and secrets, from those hidden in the score, to what is behind the stage, workshops, dressing rooms, rehearsal rooms of the orchestra, the chorus or the singers' studios.
The project is supported by NTT DATA and Telefónica's technology in MyOpera.
