The dances performed by Antonio Gades at the beginning of his solo career were reshaped over the years to become the Suite Flamenca, seven traditional dances for one, two, or several dancers, which cover the aesthetic history of flamenco in a most original way. Regarded in its time as avant-garde, Suite Flamenca has become a recognised classic in the history of flamenco.
