Mozart's last opera, La clemenza di Tito, was the first to be staged by the Herrmanns. A story of jealousy, love, conspiracy and clemency, its staging and premiere was surrounded by intrigues and envy that accompanied Mozart to the end of his days, and which still linger to this day.
“La clemenza di Tito is a sublime work from beginning to end, clearly demonstrating that Mozart, when he accepts a commission, is incapable of not putting his heart and soul into it.”. Max Genévez
