Libretto by Jacopo Ferretti, based on the story Cendrillon (1697) by Charles Perrault and in the libretto by Charles-Guillaume Etienne for the opera Cendrillon (1810) by Nicolas Isouard and in that of Francesco Fiorini for the opera Agatina ou la virtù premiata (1814) by Stefano Pavesi.
